Welcome to Borderline Interesting.
As a European entrepreneur in my mid-30s, I've been fascinated by New York since my earliest memories – it was literally the first word I could read and write. I've always seen Europe and the US as two parts of a large democratic family. The first startup I co-founded expanded to the US quickly, and while I'll always identify as European, the lines of where I call home have increasingly blurred. I've learned to embrace both our commonalities and our differences, while the experiences abroad have taught me that it is a generally good approach to first look to the past and to history when facing the questions of today. I'm dedicating space to share my perspectives, born from a broad curiosity, through weekly publications exploring the intersection of power, innovation, history, and democracy.
In-depth Essays and Investigative Opinions
My essays will be released in seasons, mirroring the Netflix format. Each season will explore a central topic through loosely connected essays, offering diverse perspectives.
Season 1: The Divided States of America, the focus is on the forces within and surrounding the MAGA Movement and their drive to transform US society and reimagine America's role in global affairs.
I also publish Investigative Opinions, a format designed to illuminate ongoing issues through my own unique lens
